Strong Waters Craft Cocktails and Kitchen in Myrtle Beach has many reasons to celebrate and raise our glasses of Giggle Water as we toast to our One Year Anniversary. We’ve accomplished a lot in this past year, in the restaurant as well as in the community as we’ve had opportunities to showcase our “Farm to Shaker” method in various events. From the countless cocktails we’ve crafted to the numerous amounts of craft beer we’ve poured, here’s a recap of what affairs took place during our first year of operation.
In October we had the chance to showcase our Lowcountry cuisine with a twist to the community in the annual Taste of the Town event at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Our Krazy Key Lime dessert got the crowd’s attention and we took home the People’s Choice Award for ‘Best Dessert’. Other competitions we at included the Coastal Uncorked Moonshine Mixology Competition and most recently, the Surfrider Oyster Roast and Bloody Mary Competition. Coastal Uncorked also selected us to participate and prepare the seafood portion at their annual Farm to Table event at Thompson Farms.
In the Press
We’ve not only gotten rave reviews on Facebook, but we even made it in the January issue of Southern Living Magazine for one of the Myrtle Beach Bars to check out in their ‘Things to Do In Myrtle Beach’ article. Our delicious and photogenic Honeysuckle Mule graced the cover of the Oct/Nov 2017 issue of Grand Strand Magazine in which we had a featured article for ‘Best New Restaurant’ in Myrtle Beach. Grand Strand Magazine featured us again in their Feb/March 2018 issue which included a full length article on Strong Waters ‘Reinventing Sophisticated Libations’. They even created a video for us that went along with the article to showcase our Lowcountry cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.
What’s New at Strong Waters
Since opening, we’ve released a new menu and we’ve incorporated a secret Speakeasy Entrance to the restaurant. We commissioned a local artist to paint a mural of an octopus on the outside and the tentacles point towards the entrance. The most recent addition to weekends at Strong Waters has been brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 2 pm. We offer a delicious menu of breakfast and lunch options, as well as spiked local coffee, a Bloody Mary Bar and specials on Bottomless Mimosas.
We’re happy to have been part of the local Myrtle Beach community for the past year and look forward to supporting all things local – from incorporating fresh, local ingredients to showcasing local musicians – for many years to come. So if you haven’t already, we encourage you to come hang out at the corner of 21 and Ocean and try out our brunch, new menu or any of our delicious handcrafted cocktails. And don’t forget to use the Speakeasy Password for the month for ½ off a signature cocktail!
